Dr. Pipek is originally from Uruguay, where he obtained his medical degree from University of the Republic – Uruguay . He continued his medical studies in Canada and Israel and then completed a Fellowship in Endocrinology in San Antonio, Texas at the University of Texas Health Science Center.
Dr. Pipek served in teaching positions and published numerous articles and research papers before coming to Brevard in 2001. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Central Florida.
Dr. Pipek is board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. Dr. Pipek sees patients with various endocrine conditions including diabetes, osteoporosis, disorders involving the thyroid, pituitary, adrenal and parathyroid glands, cholesterol/lipid disorders, Testosterone replacement therapy, hypertension and other general endocrine conditions.
Dr. Pipek is fluent in 5 languages including English, Spanish, Hebrew, French and Portuguese. He enjoys soccer, swimming, playing drums and travel.
Early detection and treatment of diabetes can decrease the risk of developing the complications of diabetes.
